James Robinson

Board Member

James Robinson has nearly thirty years’ experience securing capital for startup and emerging growth companies and projects. During that time, he has helped raise over $1 billion dollars from a wide variety of capital sources. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University and a Master of Science degree in Management from the Sloan School of Management at MIT where he was a COGME Fellow, Exxon Fellow and member of MENSA.

He is formerly an Adjunct Professor at Argosy University where he taught graduate-level courses in Finance and Marketing. He is currently Chairman and Group CEO of Gideon Group, a multi-billion dollar financial services firm that he founded three decades ago.
